High School

Students in grades nine through twelve

Unified Sports

Special Olympics New Hampshire has partnered with the New Hampshire Interscholastic Athletic Association (NHIAA) to bring four seasons of varsity-level Unified Sports to New Hampshire's high schools.  Teams participate like any other varsity-level team.  They have a trained coach, uniforms, practices and play a game each week culminating in a championship.
Sports offered include soccer in the fall, basketball in the winter and volleyball and athletics in the spring.

Youth Leadership & Advocacy

Students join the Statewide Youth Activation Committees or form a school based Youth Activation Club where students create inclusive clubs who work to educate the school community about Project Unify.
Annually, the Statewide Youth Activation Committee plans and implements the Youth Summit.  Students from high schools throughout New Hampshire are invited to attend the two-day training at Waterville Valley in December.

Whole School Engagement

Schools host Fans in the Stands events, Unified Proms, Pep Rallies or Spread the Word to End the Word campaigns, which inspires respect and acceptance through raising awareness about the R-word and how hurtful words and disrespect can be towards people with ID

Schools may apply for stipends to assist with funding of Project UNIFY for their first three years of participation.  All schools receiving funding are required to participate in the HS Plunge or HS Dip.
