Volunteers are the backbone of the Special Olympics movement. They are one day volunteers, coaches, trainers, officials, event organizers, fundraisers and managers. They can also be unified partners—playing alongside athletes with intellectual disabilities—or fans cheering in the stands.
Our volunteers are all ages and volunteer opportunities range from an afternoon to a lifetime. Throughout New Hampshire, our volunteers are helping to bring out the champion in every Special Olympics athlete.
Be a part of it, join us and volunteer today!
One day volunteers help us conduct our year-round competitions and fundraising events. From handing out towels at the Penguin Plunge to running a timer for a snowshoe competition. No prior experience is required. Volunteers may pre-register for an event or show up the day of.
Local Program Volunteers fill many crucial roles within a Local Program including management, coaches, Unified Partners and support. If you would like to become a Local Program Volunteer, please contact us so that we can match you with an appropriate program in your area.
A Management Team Member wants to help make an event the best it can be and break down the work of planning and executing the event into manageable pieces. Each event’s management team is set up based on the needs of the event.
