SONH Athlete Jesse Covill at State Golf in 2023

Special Olympics New Hampshire President and CEO Mary Conroy says the State Golf Tournament is one of the year’s most anticipated events. “We have 118 golfers who have been practicing and working hard to be part of this competition,” she says. “The Owl’s Nest staff alongside our terrific volunteers and sponsors make the State Golf Tournament the first-class competition that our athletes deserve,” she continued.

Jesse Covill is a 33-year-old athlete with Nashua Special Olympics. He participates in several different sports and says he came to golf later than many other participants, but really enjoys the game. He has competed in the State Golf Tournament for seven years and brought home a gold medal in 2023. In addition to enjoying the game, Covill is fond of this particular course saying, “It’s great playing at Owl’s Nest, it’s very scenic with really, really beautiful views.”
