SONH athlete Liam McNeil is part of Hudson Special Olympics and a student at Alvirne High School. He’s been running since 2013. He will be running in the Boston Marathon in 2024 representing SONH athletes. Brian Allard is the Assistant Director of the New Hampshire State Fire Marshal’s Office and a long-time runner. He has also taken part in the New Hampshire Law Enforcement Torch Run to benefit SONH. He will be partnered with Liam, and the duo will be running Boston as a fundraiser for Special Olympics New Hampshire. It will be the first time either of them has run the Boston Marathon and it will be Liam’s first-ever full marathon.

They did it!! Congrats to Liam and Brian for completing the 128th Boston Marathon! They crossed the finish line of the 128th Boston Marathon! Liam and Brian ran 26.2 miles with a finish time of 4:19:26! They were averaging 9:54 mins/mile!

It’s bib day!!! Liam and Brian got their bibs today for the 128th Boston Marathon®. Can you tell they’re excited?
Sunday, April 7
It’s hard to believe we’re a week away from Boston! This week, Liam and Brian did “An easy 10 miler in Hollis!” As Brian said it was “bittersweet”. Theya re both looking forward to the big race but are sad that their training together weekly will come to an end. The two are planning to continuing running together afterwards.
Sunday, March 17
Liam and Brian ran the Eastern States 20-miler & half-marathon race and were able to complete the 20 miles! The race began in scenic Kittery, ME, ran through historic Portsmouth, NH, along Route 1A overlooking the Atlantic, to the finish at Hampton Beach, NH.

The Marathon is getting closer! Liam and Brian have started tapering their mileage. This weekend, they ran 10 miles in New Boston and Weare, NH!
