Swimming

The Manchester Sharks are the swim team for Manchester Special Olympics. Swimming is considered one of our summer-season sports. We usually begin swimming in late January, and continue to practice leading up to competition at the State Summer Games, held annually at the University of New Hampshire. Our swim athletes can compete in events ranging from 10M with support to 400M and team relays in multiple stroke styles. This season, we swim on Sunday mornings at the Downtown YMCA in Manchester, NH.

The swim season runs simultaneously to the athletics and bocce seasons. Athletes may choose to compete in either bocce or athletics or swimming.

We currently can only accept athletes who already have a basic swim background, due to our limitations with volunteers.
