Cornhole – Middle School
Cornhole is one of the fastest growing sports in the United States and Special Olympics North America. It is easy to learn, has few fundamental skills, has basic competition strategies, individuals with and without disabilities as well as all ages can play successfully, and is fun. Special Olympics New Hampshire offers Unified Sports Cornhole Doubles coupled with the Track and Field events of 4 x 100m Unified Relay for all participants. Unified Teams (one athlete and one partner) then choose two of the following three events: 100m Run, Running Long Jump and Softball Throw. Places of finish equal points for each School Team with the final School score determined by adding the points of each team and comparing it with the other middle schools for awards.
Cornhole Coaches Training Opportunities
- Prerequisite course to all sports-specific coaches education courses.
- 1 hour course – to be taken prior to in-person session.
- A 2 hour course – to be held at State Basketball Tournament 2023.
