Leadership teams are the cornerstone of any successful local program or schools program; providing the vision, direction, and unwavering support that the program needs to thrive. As a part of the leadership team, your dedication and commitment drives positive change, inspires collective action, and creates a sense of unity.
Recognizing the critical role leaders play, we are actively working on developing resources and tools that will support you in your various roles. It is our hope that these resources will help enhance your ability to lead, connect, and facilitate growth within your program, ultimately amplifying the impact and success of your programs.

- SEPTEMBER 17th – Finance Food for Thought
- We know finances can get a bit overwhelming, but we are here to help! We’ll cover how to view your net funds and previous expenses/assessments, where to find assessments and forms relating to finance, tips and tricks for successful fundraising, allowable and appropriate expenses, working with Driven Insights for reimbursements and to pay invoices, and more!
- OCTOBER 15th – There’s Something for Everyone; Opportunities outside of training and Area/State Competition
- Join us as athlete leaders throughout the state share the various opportunities available to Special Olympics athletes outside of training for and competition at area and state level competition!
- NOVEMBER 19th – Athlete Preparation; Keys to success with fitness, progression and life lessons
- We’ll be joined by an athletic trainer in November as we cover how to best set up our athletes for success! There’s more to training than just 10 weeks of practicing a sport – well-rounded training includes diet, warm-ups and general fitness activities and mental preparation. Additionally, we’ll cover athlete progress over time, selecting appropriate divisions and encouraging athletes to advance their fitness abilities as well as the importance of understanding tough outcomes at competition.
