Youth Summit FAQ’s

Q. When do I need to register by?
A. Monday November 25, 2024. Please remember this is an overnight trip and your school may have additional paperwork that needs to be filled out well in advance.
Q. My school does not allow overnight trips, can we still come one day?
A. Absolutely! Although we encourage both days for the full experience, we understand. Thursday would be the day to come and leave after dinner. Don’t worry, we will fill you in on anything you may miss Friday.
Q. Is there any funding support for transportation costs?
A. Yes! Click here to fill out the School’s Agreement if you have not already done so.
Q. How many students can I bring from my school?
A. The more the merrier so,schools may bring up to 2 Unified pairs (each pair is made up of an athlete, student with ID, and unified partner, student without ID) and 2 chaperones.
Q. I work at a middle school. Can I bring MS students to this event?
A. Absolutely! This would be a great time for the 32 middle schools involved in SONH Unified Champions Schools programming to connect.
Q. I have students that would enjoy helping lead some sessions for this event, how can I get them involved?
A. Planning is just beginning so contact MJ at mjh@sonh.org. We would love as many students from around the state to help plan as possible.
Q. Will there also be other opportunities for another Summit?
A. Our annual Youth Summit is the best opportunity for our schools to be able to come together to share ideas. Additionally, we are planning different regional networking activities in the spring that will be discussed at Waterville.
